About Me

Hello! My name is JoAnna Massey, a certified birth doula and mother of three, serving the greater Chattanooga area from my home base in Ringgold, Georgia. I am passionate about helping families navigate birth with confidence, believing that it is a beautiful and transformative experience. I am committed to helping you create memories that will last a lifetime.

I understand that birth is a unique and personal experience for every family. I take the time to get to know you and your needs, developing a personalized support plan that meets you where you are. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience, providing evidence-based information and hands-on support throughout your pregnancy, labor, and postpartum period.

I am committed to furthering my education and knowledge by attending classes, both virtually and in person, staying up to date on new evidence, and taking additional trainings. Since becoming a doula, I have joined the Tennessee Doula Association and  received certifications as a VBAC Link Doula. I am also NRP and BLS certified.

Whether you are dreaming of a home birth or a hospital birth, I am there to support you. I will be your trusted advocate, helping you to make informed decisions about your care and ensuring that your voice is heard. I will also be there to offer physical and emotional support during labor, helping you to stay calm and centered. After your baby is born, I will continue to support you and your family during the postpartum period. I can offer breastfeeding support, postpartum care tips, and emotional support as you adjust to parenthood. My goal is to ensure you have a safe, positive, and empowering birth experience, no matter what.
